This beautiful seventeenth century building sits in the very centre of Clonme. Built in 1675 by the Duke of Ormond as a courthouse, it has had a long history. In 1810 shops were built in the ground floor. The Office of Public Works began painstaking renovations in the 1990’s. After ten years it was finally re-opened to the public with the open arches again a feature of the streetscope.
