Clonmel Rowing Club
Clonmel Rowing Club was founded in 1869. It is one of the oldest sporting clubs in the town and the colours are royal blue and white. It is located on Moors Island on the Suir situated about 500 meters from the town centre. The club is affectionately known as “The Island” by locals. In winter and summer rowing training takes place on the river. The club has a purpose built boat house constructed in 1979 with boats on the ground floor and two squash courts, a function hall and dressing rooms upstairs.
