CLONMEL WITH KIDS

Clonmel has a multitude of activities for families with young kids. 

Mulcahy Park, on the Waterford Road has a modern and large playground.  It is open all year round.  The park is an ideal location for kids to cycle and walk.  It also has a riverside walk wichi is securely fenced off for child safety.

There are a number of swimming pools in the area.  Clonmel Swimming Pool is open seven days a week.  Local hotels also have pools.  These include Club Minella at Hotel Minella, Clonmel Park Hotel and Knocklofty House Hotel.  The Hotels have differing policies on non-guests using their facilities and we would recommend that you phone before setting out on your journey. 

Parsons Green in Clogheen is open during the summer season.   This is an ideal picnic location for families and the animals are always a source of excitement for young children.

Nature lovers may also want to visit Marlfield lake on the outskirts of Clonmel to see the ducks and swans. 

Hotshots Bowling Alley on the Inner Relief Road is open year round from early morning until late at night.  Aside from bowling it also offers facilities upstairs for younger children. 

Planet Playground (Gurtnafleur Business Park) is an indoor play centre with an adjoining cafe.  It also offers birthday party packages.  It is open seven days a week.  We would recommend that you call for opening hairs.

Clonmel Omniplex in Market Place is a five screen cinema in the centre of the town.  Aside from Hollywood Blockbusters they also host the cineclub for kids at the weekend.  Call for further information.
