When it comes to nightlife, Clonmel has it all, live music, award winning late bars, restaurants, cinema and theatre.

The Bulmers Comedy Festival kicks off on November 18th with big name acts from around the world.  Previous performers include Andrew Maxwell, Karl Spain, Nob Nation and Lucy Porter.

O’Keeffes in Parnell Street was awarded ‘Music Bar of the Year’ earlier in 2010.  They will also follow up their successful cover version festival ‘moxogen’ with ‘The Eclectic Picnic’ in late summer.  For more information check out their facebook page.

Here is just a sample of the nightime entertainment in Clonmel.  Check locally for other attractions at various venues. For example, the Clonmel Park Hotel hosts great entertainment which is open to non-residents and very many of the pubs also have live music.  O’Keeffe’s Bar, Parnell St, is adjacent to Hearn’s Hotel and is open till late on Thursdays to Sundays. It has four bars, three DJs and two dance floors and is a firm favourite.  The Posthouse, Gladstone St, is open till late with DJ from Thursday to Saturday. Kasper’s Nightclub operates Thursday to Sunday from 11.30pm with music for all tastes.  

The Brewery Bar at Mulcahy’s, Gladstone St, is open till late every Friday and Saturday with live music or DJ, while Danno’s Nightclub is open every Saturday night.
Phil Carroll’s Bar, 16 Parnell St, has remained unchanged for 85 years. It opens daily at 5pm and visitors can sample its friendly atmosphere with frequent musical accompaniment.
