Clonmel is set to come alive this week when the second Style Clonmel Festival will be held.

The festival, organised by Clonmel Chamber, will feature a number of events over ten days throughout the town.

Events planned for this year include the Style Clonmel Fashion Show, Teen Fashion Show, the longest running event will be the Total Transformation Makeover which will run over eight weeks in which you can track participants progress online and in the local media and will give participants the opportunity to revamp hair, body and more.  The events will highlight the wide range of fashion available in Clonmel and will feature some of Ireland's top models.

This year's festival will also cater for children with specific events.  Kids and their parents will get to see the latest fashions and play at what promises to be a fun and exciting event.  There may also be a super hero or two passing by!  Teens will get to see the latest designs from leading labels and pick up fashion tips at the midweek teen event.

The Style Clonmel Festival will also be hosting other events throughout the town in October 2010. 

What makes the Style Clonmel Festival unique is the co-operation between major fashion labels, local boutiques and the wider community.  In 2009 one of the highlights was an open air fashion show and on street entertainment.

Visitors to Clonmel can also enjoy the festival atmosphere at pubs, clubs and restaurants throughout the town.   And to help you weary shoppers wtch out for Shoppers Special Menus to whet your appetite for even more shopping!

This year the organisers have joined forces with a number of local hotels to offer Style Clonmel packages.  Individuals, couples or groups can avail of overnight deals with event tickets, spa treatments, complimentary meals and golf added to the package.

The Iconic Fashion Show:  October 15^th at 7.30pm – Mulcahy’s, Gladstone Street, Clonmel – Tickets: €30
